LSK Appeal to police over missing Lawyer
The Law Society of Kenya (LSK) has called on the National Police Service to carry out thorough investigations towards locating missing lawyer Mr. Simon Lilan.
LSK President Mr. Isaac Okero has also urged the police to facilitate the safe return of Lilan to his family.
“I have spoken to the Inspector General of the National Police Service who has assured me that the police received a missing person report and are looking for Mr. Lilan,” Mr. Okero said.
Mr. Okero said that the LSK has been in communication with the family of Mr. Lilan that said he was last seen on the 9th January, 2017.
“Mr. Lilan called me on the same day (9th January 2017) at 5.52pm after calling and speaking to the Chairman LSK North Rift Branch between 5:32pm and 5:37pm,” Mr. Okero said
The LSK President said that the family has formally reported to the police his disappearance and remain very concerned for his safety.
