WAKILI TOWERS GROUND BREAKING

On 30th January 2026, the Law Society of Kenya officially broke ground on the construction of its new, state of-the-art headquarters, Wakili Towers, located along Gitanga Road. This milestone marks the beginning of a transformative journey for the Society and its members. The Society has operated from a condemned building, a situation that underscored the urgent need for a permanent and dignified home for advocates in Kenya. The groundbreaking ceremony represents not only the start of construction but also a symbolic departure from years of inadequate facilities.
The project is envisioned as more than just an office space. Wakili Towers will serve as a statement of permanence, reflecting the Society’s unwavering commitment to the defence of the rule of law in Kenya. Wakili Towers embodies the resilience and continuity of the Law Society of Kenya. It will stand as a physical reminder of an institution that has outlived political cycles, withstood constitutional ruptures and a dapted through societal transitions. The building will also serve as a witness to future debates, the defence of rights yet to be challenged, and the mentorship of generations of advocates to come. With the support of members and strategic partners, the Society is confident in meeting its two-year timeline for initial occupancy. Wakili Towers is poised to become a landmark of legal advocacy and a home for all Kenyan advocates.
