AML/CFT/CPF Compliance Hub
The Law Society of Kenya is the designated Self-Regulatory Body for the legal profession in matters relating to Anti-Money Laundering, Countering the Financing of Terrorism and Countering Proliferation Financing.
The AML/CFT/CPF Compliance Hub provides advocates and law farms with centralised access to guidelines, guidance notes, compliance templates, risk-assessment tools, training information and other resources intended to support compliance with the applicable legal and regulatory framework.
Advocates and law firms are encouraged to regularly review the materials available on this page and ensure that their internal policies, procedures, client due-diligence processes, record-keeping, risk assessments and reporting arrangements remain current and effective.
The materials provided on this page are intended for compliance support and should be read together with the applicable laws, regulations and directives issued by the Law Society of Kenya, the Financial Reporting Centre and other competent authorities.
The LSK Guidelines were issued pursuant to section 4A(2)(b) of the Law Society of Kenya Act and cover money laundering, terrorism financing and proliferation financing obligations within the legal profession.
The suspicious transaction guidance is intended to help legal professionals understand their reporting obligations, identify red flags and comply with the applicable AML/CFT/CPF framework.

This questionnaire is intended to gather information on the money laundering and terrorism-financing risks affecting the legal sector and the effectiveness of the controls adopted by law firms.
